  • Dr. Matthew J. Hubbard

    Veterinarian/Partner
    Dr. Hubbard graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. He received his undergraduate degree in Agri-business production and Animal Science from Brigham Young University in 1985. Prior to pursuing his education in the veterinary science field, Dr. Hubbard operated his family dairy/beef farm in Idaho and was the manager of the dairy operation at Eastern Kentucky University.

  • Dr. Spencer M. Hubbard

    Veterinarian/Partner
    Dr. Spencer graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University and the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture. He grew up working with his dad at CKAC and lived and worked on UK's horse farm for 3 years during college. Following graduation he worked for 2 years as an associate veterinarian in southern California. He has been with CKAC as a partner since 2016.

  • Dr. Jamie E. Cottrell

    Associate Veterinarian
    Dr. Cottrell grew up on a farm in Shelby County with cattle, sheep, donkeys, horses, and poultry. She received her degree in Agriculture Biotechnology graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Kentucky in 2012 while working on the research farm taking care of the University's horses, ponies, and goats. She graduated Cum Laude from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 and has been practicing as an associate veterinarian since that time.

    Veterinary Assistant
    Kelly has been working in the veterinary industry for many years. She first worked at a companion animal hospital and then at a mixed-animal practice that included many years at the stockyards. She joined CKAC in 2016 and is currently in classes to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician.

  • Sheena

    Veterinary Assistant
    Sheena grew up in the military life and does not identify any location as home but enjoys everywhere. She currently calls Fort Knox home. She started working at a vet in 2006 as a receptionist. After a tour in Germany she moved to Michigan and was accepted to Michigan State University and completed a BS in Animal Science with a concentration in Companion and Exotic Animal Biology. She has been a vet tech since graduating in 2015. Her home zoo includes a husband of almost 15 years, 3 boys and 2 dogs.

    Maggie is a graduate of Centre College and planning to enter medical school in the too near future. We are so glad she has chosen to be a part of our veterinary team! She is very intelligent and has a contagious joy that makes work better for everyone. Maggie also enjoys playing the piano and viola.

    Receptionist
    Melissa joined Central Kentucky Animal Clinic in 2017. Her animal experience includes serving on the Farm Bureau board and being active in 4-H both as a member and as a certified leader. She also raises Katahdin sheep and Wyandotte chickens.

    Receptionist
    Mandy is a native of Louisville who has many years of experience in medical reception. When she isn't cheerfully being witty at work, she is home with her family and their 3 dogs. We're so glad Mandy has joined our team!

    Pre-vet Student
    Kylie grew up in Elizabethtown and is currently attending Western Kentucky University studying animal science and chemistry. She is active in the pre-veterinary club and a member of both the American Saddlebred Horse Association and the United Professional Horsemen's Association. She plans to attend Auburn University for veterinary school next year.

    Maddie is a recent graduate of Thomas Nelson High School and currently takes classes in Louisville. She has a natural affinity toward animals and their care and we are currently trying to convert her to stay in the Veterinary industry forever.

    Student Worker
    Allie is a recent graduate of Thomas Nelson High School and is studying Equine Science at Midway college. She has always loved and taken care of horses, cats, and dogs. When she is with us, she helps everywhere from the kennels to the front desk to the farm calls. She is also an incredibly talented golfer!
